I have 4 ferrets used for hunting. Gille has just given birth to 7 on Tuesday.

I have 2 ferrets!

We started out in February with Major Burns, our 1st Ferret and then went back less than a week later and got Hot Lips. Both of these have been great together. Last night we fell in love with Radar the little black male. He seems to be adjusting well with the other two, but the older male seems to take care of him and follow him around, where the female for the most part just ignores him. No one could have convinced me that Ferrets would be a great pet, but I was wrong. When we took the two older ones (7 months and 6 months) on vacation they were the hit of every place we stopped for potty breaks. They ended up on other people's digital cameras and cell phones. Everyplace we go, people stop and ask all about the two of them. I am in hopes that we are educating people and calming fears that they had about ferrets.

Hi, I love ferrets. I think they are so cute.

I have 4 wonderful ferrets in our home. They have the run of the upstairs during the day and at night we put them in their condo. They train really well on news paper which we put on the floor in the corner areas. I think they are the best.

I just love my babies, I have four (two girls and two boys) and they are the coolest. I love watching them play. They each have their own little personalities. My very first ferret was Gwen. She got sick and died. We really miss her.

Your site is the only one that I actually found the suggestions on bringing a new ferret into the home, I have to say it was definitely very helpful. I bought my first ferret Sassy in February07 and she was alone for a month and a half then on St Patty's Day 07 I went and bought a male Jinx. Both Sable and both very friendly However my female has more spunk than the male I did introduce them and Sassy did drag him around and kind of tend to be a little rough with him when we saw her get a little to rough we moved him out of the picture and then he would cry as if looking for her. Sassy and Jinx seem to be doing very well for only being around one another for 2 days but they are only one month apart in age. So thank you for having my questions answered in you column.

I'm getting a ferret and I'm so happy! He is 3 months old and is a black and white swirl mix. He is too cute and I can't wait! When I went to see him today he climbed all over me and then just went to sleep in the hood of my jacket. I can't wait to bring him home!

I think these is an awesome web site. I have been to many web sites looking for information on ferrets and these was the only web site that had the information to help cure my ferret. I also liked the section on what to feed and what not to fee my ferret named Bubbles.

We brought our first ferret about a month ago. Her name is Chardie and yes named after the alcoholic drink (my girlfriend named her), she is 3 months old and she is full of energy. We brought Chardie a companion and her name is Meika, we have to separate them as Meika is only 6 weeks old and needs her sleep more than Chardie. I have never known any animal to be so hyperactive than a ferret, they are so amusing and so much fun to have. I would like to thank you for all your advise with your website, as it has been very useful,been a first time ferret owner. There is alot of information regarding ferret ownership out there but none as indepth as your web site.

Message: We got our first ferret a month ago. He is AWESOME! Like a kitten on caffeine! Best pet we have ever had (and we have a houseful of pets). His name is Cyrano and he is approximately 8 months old. The people we got him from were afraid of him and only touched him with gloves and kept him caged a lot. He is our first ferret but we love animals and knew he needed to be socialized. We can now cuddle him with only nibbles and not bites.

Hi, I love 2 go on here to see all the new stuff. I have a little girl ferret. Her name is Vixy. She is very sweet, and loves 2 dig holes outside and of-course likes 2 make a mess out of everything. Ferrets are so out going! That's Y I love them.....!!!!!!!

This site has been very helpful for all our questions! We are first time ferret owners. Our Ferrets are 8 weeks old, named Roxy and Sid. They have been a great addition to our home. We are still struggling a bit with the nipping, but are trying to stay consistent with it.
