My little buddy is finally on the way! His name is Little D. (Little Devient). He is a dark stable and the love my life.

I now have four wonderful ferrets thanks to my son who wanted one so badly that he waited five years and jumped through all of my hoops to get one. I was terrified but after the first one I fell head over heels!

Ferrets usually cost about $120-$150 if you purchase them from a pet store but if you are looking into getting a ferret from a breader they will be above $150 usually. Shelter's prices are a little more reasonable due to the fact that there are so many but this reductinon is price does not mean that you lose out on how much fun, love, and friendlyness you are getting. I would chose to get a ferret from a breeder because they have had the ferrets since they were babies and know more about their history including their vet history. This can be helpful later if you ever need to diagnose a problem later. I am not discouraging you to not look at ferrets from pet stores or shelters because the people that work there know most of what you need to know about your fuzzy little friend that is now the newest member of your family. The information on this website will give you pritty much all of the information that the pet store/shelter does not give you when you go to get your little buddy. I would just like to say that ferrets are now my favorite pet! Who could not love such playful, sweet & lovable creatures! We've had Peekaboo (a male ferret) for about a year, and he has been an absolute joy to have around every single day... We all spoil him a lot!
